Hi there

Just trying to become a bit more networked... Please post on and link to our blog

I am becoming evangelical! I started running a blog with my Y2s at the beginning of Jan, and it is taking over our lives... The barriers between home and school are being broken down, and children are accessing the curriculum all over the shop. Those who don't have interenet access at home are using at school through a blogging club, and parents love it. I can't recommend blogging highly enough, and would be really happy to help others if they want to get started.

We have just completed a really exciting project making a film of Hansel and Gretel and the kids would love your comments, criticism and thoughts. Please do visit and comment - it is comment from the outside world which keeps the children motivated and excited - "can we see the map" is the first thing they say every morning...

Thanks for your time.

I wonder if there is a graphic for the "networked student" to compare with?

This is pretty much me, but more personally than in terms of me as an educator. I have all kinds of ideas for using this "network" in the classroom, but we have lots of students that don't have access at home, and not enough at school. There are also times when I want to use a great web app or tool, but don't because of the adult content that is only a few clicks away on some sites. I would be less concerned if I high school or middle, but elementary students' parents can freak out pretty easily sometimes.

@mathman6293

Any method, aid, resource, approach can be overused, underused, misused or used effectively; not just technology. Whatever the tool or process is, it should serve pedagogy. I would suggest that there is more misuse out there of the non-technological.

Alec, great graphic ... gonna go read that paper now!
